Built in the North. Connected Beyond.
IBX is a partnership between Inuvialuit Development Corporation, the 100% Inuvialuit-owned business arm of Inuvialuit Regional Corporation, and BBE.
The partnership combines regional knowledge, Indigenous business participation and an established presence in Inuvik with BBE’s freight network, procurement capability and supply chain expertise.
Together, we connect Western Arctic operations with suppliers, transportation networks and logistics infrastructure across Canada and internationally from procurement and consolidation through to remote final mile.
Why Inuvik Matters
Inuvik is a major transportation and service centre for the Western Arctic and an increasingly important location within Canada’s Northern defence and operating infrastructure.
For government, defence, infrastructure and industrial organizations, operating in this environment requires more than transportation. It requires logistics partners that understand Northern supply chains, seasonal constraints, multimodal transportation and remote delivery.
We are positioned where that activity is happening.

Strategically positioned for Canada’s Arctic
Supporting Defence, Industry and Essential Operations in the Western Arctic
Canada’s growing focus on Arctic sovereignty, security and Northern infrastructure is increasing the importance of reliable logistics networks across the region.
Inuvik is one of Canada’s confirmed Northern Operational Support Hub locations. The program is designed to strengthen the ability of the Canadian Armed Forces to receive, stage, move and sustain personnel, equipment and resources throughout the Canadian Arctic.
For us, that reinforces the strategic importance of an operating presence already established in Inuvik.
We are positioned to support organizations working within this expanding Arctic operating environment by connecting:
- Regional presence in Inuvik with national and international supply chains.
- Inuvialuit business participation with experienced logistics execution.
- Southern suppliers and consolidation points with Western Arctic destinations.
- Road, air and remote transportation networks through coordinated multimodal logistics.
- Procurement and product supply with the transportation required to reach the final destination.
This positioning is relevant not only to defence logistics in Canada, but to every organization that needs to sustain people, projects and operations in remote Northern environments.
