Three months ago, from February 23 to March 9, 2025, the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) led Operation NANOOK-NUNALIVUT in and around Inuvik and the Mackenzie River Delta and along the Beaufort Sea coast, Northwest Territories. The annual Arctic defence exercise, which brings together international allies to train in Canada’s High Arctic, marked its largest deployment to date.
BBE was proud to be on the ground supporting this critical mission. Our team provided logistics coordination and ground handling services for Canadian and U.S. military aircraft, as well as commercial charters moving personnel in and out of Inuvik. With years of experience operating in remote northern environments, BBE ensured reliable, safe, and efficient movement during a high-tempo, multinational operation.
Operation NANOOK-NUNALIVUT 2025 involved more than 450 CAF members and approximately 110 personnel from allied nations, including the United States, United Kingdom, Finland, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. The exercise tested cold-weather readiness and reinforced Canada’s commitment to Arctic sovereignty and international collaboration.
